"cycles of light and dark" (30x60" original on canvas)
ABOUT: I tended to this painting for two years, amid many seasons of light and dark. She held my hand as I left a toxic corporate job, got pregnant with my first baby, had two solo exhibitions, grew a human inside my body, birthed my baby, became a mother and mothered that baby for 4 months. Slowly I tended to her, taking her out of storage and adding a drop of paint here or a stitch there. Then, finally, she was ready for the world. Introducing "Cycles of Light and Dark."
WHO SHE BELONGS TO: a human and/or couple and/or family who is honoring all seasons of themselves and their life/lives - the dark, the light and that beautiful liminal space in between.
Design notes: this artwork would look beautiful above your couch or bed!
